Students: How to Use the Convert Grades Tool to Check Program Eligibility

Not sure if your grades meet the requirements for your dream program? Applying to a school in a different country can be confusing when grading systems don't match up.

To make things easier, you can use the Convert Grades feature on the ApplyBoard platform. This tool helps you instantly see if your GPA from home meets the minimum entry requirements for programs in Canada, the US, the UK, and beyond.

How to Check Your Eligibility

  1. Log In: Sign into your ApplyBoard account.

  2. Find a Program: Select Search from the menu and use the search bar to find a program that interests you.

  3. View Program Details: Click View Details on the program card to see a quick overview.

  4. Open Full Program Page: Select View Full Details to go to the school’s dedicated program page.

  5. Find the Requirement: Scroll down to the Admission Requirements section, where you will see the Minimum GPA listed.

  6. Start Converting: Click the Convert grades link located directly next to the GPA requirement to check your eligibility.

How to Enter Your Information

Once the tool opens, simply fill in your academic details:

  • Education Country: Select the country where you completed your previous studies.

  • Education Level: Choose your level (e.g., Undergraduate, High School/Grades 1-12, or Master’s).

  • Grading Scheme: Select the specific scale used by your school (e.g., 10-point CGPA, percentages, or letter grades).

  • Grading Average: Enter your actual final score or current average.

The Result: The tool will instantly tell you whether your score meets the minimum requirements for that specific program.
