Students: How to Reset Your ApplyBoard Account Password

How to Reset Your Password

  1. Go to the ApplyBoard Login page: Visit the ApplyBoard Login screen and click the “Forgot password?” link below the login form.
  2. Enter your registered email address: Type in the email address associated with your ApplyBoard account.
  3. Request a password reset: Click the “Reset via Email” button. You will see a message confirming: “An email has been sent to you with instructions on how to reset your password.
  4. Check your email inbox: Open your inbox and look for an email from ApplyBoard. If you don’t see it within a few minutes, be sure to check your spam or junk folder.
  5. Follow the password reset link: In the email, click the “Reset Password” button to be taken to a secure page where you can create a new password.
  6. Create your new password: Enter a new password that’s strong and easy for you to remember.
  7. Confirm your new password: Click “Submit” to finalize the change.

Once submitted, your password will be updated. You can now return to the ApplyBoard login page and sign in with your new password.

Tips for a Strong Password

  • Use at least 10 characters
  • Combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
  • Avoid common words or easily guessable information

Troubleshooting

Why didn't I get a password reset email?

If you did not receive an email to reset your account password, please check your junk/spam mail first. If you still have not received an email, let us know by emailing help@applyboard.com.

I received an error message: "Reset password is not allowed at this time. Please contact Support for assistance."

You may receive this error message due to a temporary technical issue. If you see this error message:

  1. Attempt the password reset again.
  2. If the problem persists, contact ApplyBoard Support by emailing help@applyboard.com. Make sure you provide detailed information to help troubleshoot your issue.
How do I add a password to my account if I logged in with Google Sign-on?

If you want to stop using Google Sign-In and set a password for your ApplyBoard account, go to the login screen and click “Forgot password?”. Enter your email and choose “Reset via Email”.

Check your inbox (and spam/junk folders) for the reset email. Click the link inside to create a new password. Make sure you use the email linked to your ApplyBoard account.

Please note that the email address you use to log into your ApplyBoard account is the same one you used to sign up with Google Sign-In.

Currently, you can’t switch from Google Sign-In to email/password directly in your account settings. If you don’t get the password reset email, contact ApplyBoard Support at help@applyboard.com.
