Before you begin your registration, gather the following documents. ApplyBoard requires all applicants to submit identity and business verification as part of the approval process. Having these ready before you start will prevent interruptions mid-flow.

Required Documents

All registered businesses must provide the following two documents:

1. Government-Issued ID

A valid government-issued identification document is mandatory for all applicants.

Your ID must clearly display all four of the following:

  • Full legal name — exactly as you will enter it on your application
  • Date of birth
  • Country of residence
  • Photograph

Accepted document types include: passport, national identity card, or driver's licence (where it meets the above criteria).

Important! The name on your ID must match the name you enter during registration. Mismatches are one of the most common reasons submissions are returned for revision.

2. Business Certificate

A valid Business Certificate or business registration document is mandatory for all applicants. The document must have been issued within your country of operation and must be current and unexpired.

Your certificate must show your registered business name and registration number. ApplyBoard accepts the standard business registration document for your country — examples by country are listed below.

Frequently Asked Questions — ApplyBoard Registration Documents

Why does ApplyBoard require these documents?

ApplyBoard is legally and operationally required to verify the identity and legitimacy of all Recruitment Partners before approving them. Every application goes through a detailed compliance review. Your documents are checked against the information you entered during registration to confirm that your identity and business are legitimate before you are granted partner status.

How long does the review process take?

The Recruiter Support Team reviews submissions within 48 business hours. Submitting complete, legible documents the first time is the most effective way to avoid delays. Applications that require follow-up for missing or unclear documents will take longer.

What happens if my submission is rejected or returned for revision?

If your registration wasn't approved and you would like it to be reconsidered, you can reply directly to the most recent email you received from recruitersupport-jira@applyboard.com. This email contains the details of any missing information, documentation requests, or verification requirements related to your application. Learn more about the appeals process.

Does the name on my documents need to match what I entered during registration exactly?

Yes. The name on your Government-Issued ID and your Business Certificate must match the name you entered on your application exactly. This is one of the most common reasons applications are returned for revision. Before submitting, double-check that you have not abbreviated your name, used a nickname, or transposed any characters.

What if my Business Certificate has expired?

Expired documents are not accepted. Your Business Certificate must be current and valid at the time of submission. If your registration has recently lapsed, renew it with your local business authority before applying. Contact recruitersupport@applyboard.com if you have questions about what qualifies as valid in your country.

Can I use a personal bank statement or utility bill instead of a Business Certificate?

No. A bank statement or utility bill does not satisfy the Business Certificate requirement. ApplyBoard requires an official business registration document issued by a government or regulatory authority in your country of operation. Refer to the country-specific examples in this article to confirm which document applies to you.

What kind of agencies does ApplyBoard partner with?

ApplyBoard primarily partners with study abroad agencies focused on international education — businesses that offer services such as student counselling, visa support, accommodation assistance, and study abroad planning. Partners are typically growing businesses with a focus on student success, client relationships, and expanding their international recruitment operations.

Who do I contact if I have a question not covered here?

Reach the Recruiter Support Team at recruitersupport@applyboard.com. Include your registered email address and a brief description of your question so the team can route your request quickly.
