Recruiters: How to Create an Application on ApplyBoard

Once you've set up your student's profile and selected the ideal program, you can create your first application by following these simple steps!

Create an Application

  1. Once you have found the institution and program you wish to apply to, click “Create application”.

 Tip! Make sure you have set up your student's profile otherwise you won’t be able to proceed to the next step in the application process.

  1. From the “New Application” form, select the student's name from the dropdown menu.
  2. Click “Next”.

In the 'New Application' modal, a student has been selected from the 'Student' dropdown menu. A green-coloured message states the the selected student is eligible for the program.

 Note: If the student is not eligible, a warning message is displayed in the New Application window with instructions on what information needs to be updated. You can click on the “Update profile data” button to go directly to the student's profile and make the updates required, accessible within the warning message.

  1. Next, you will be informed of any Prerequisites the student is required to meet in order to apply to the program. Ensure to review the information carefully. If the student does not meet the prerequisites the application will be cancelled.
  2. Next, you will be able to select backup programs for the application. Up to 10 backup programs can be selected for each application.

  3. Click “Next”.
  4. In the “What to Expect” step, you will be informed of the requirements that the student must meet in order to successfully submit the application.

  1. After reviewing the requirements, click “Create Application”.

Now, you will be directed to the student’s application. In order for ApplyBoard to review your application and assist you with the process you will need to:

  Note: In some cases, before you can pay for an application you must complete any outlined prepayment (disclaimer) requirements.

Paying for Your Application

Once you have created your first application, click the “Submit payment now” link inside the warning message on the application. From there, refer to our guide on how to Pay for the Application.

Inside of the student's application on ApplyBoard, a warning message appears at the top of the page stating that the application will not be processed until payment received, with a link to submit the payment now.

Completing Application Requirements

In order for ApplyBoard to review your application and submit it to the institution, you must complete the outstanding requirements listed on the application. This may include providing documents, providing answers to questions, and completing any required application forms. Learn more about applicant requirements and how to complete your application.
