Recruiters: How to Create and Share a Program Comparison Report Using ApplyBoard

Choosing the right university is one of the biggest decisions a student will make. As a recruiter, you often need to present multiple options to help them weigh the pros and cons of tuition, location, and application requirements.

Instead of navigating between dozens of open tabs, you can use the ApplyBoard Compare tool to generate a professional, side-by-side comparison report of up to 24 programs in seconds.   

How to Build Your Report

Follow these steps to create a custom list for your students:

  1. Navigate to Search: Log in to ApplyBoard and go to the Programs & Schools page.

  2. Activate Compare Mode: Locate the Compare toggle on the left-hand side of the screen and switch it to "On."

  1. Select Your Programs: You will see a "Compare" checkbox appear on the top-right corner of every program card. Check the boxes for the programs you wish to analyze (maximum of 24).

  2. Generate the View: Once you have selected your list, click the green Compare programs button at the top of the page.

Sharing and Exporting Options

Once your report is generated, you can share it with students and parents in the format that works best for them:

  • Share via Link: Click Share link to copy a direct URL to your clipboard. You can paste this into an email or WhatsApp message for your student to view immediately.

  • Download Data: Select the export option to download the comparison as an Excel or CSV file—perfect if you need to manipulate the data or add it to a custom presentation.

  • Print for Meetings: Click Print to generate a clean, physical copy for in-person consultations.
