Use the High Job Demand program tag in ApplyBoard Search to find programs that lead to careers with higher-than-average job availability — helping students and their families see a clear return on their education investment.

What the High Job Demand Tag Means

ApplyBoard uses data from government sources — including the Canadian Occupational Projection System — to identify programs that lead to careers with stronger-than-average labour market demand. Programs meeting this criteria are marked with the High Job Demand tag on their program card.

How to Filter for High Job Demand Programs

  • Log in to ApplyBoard and go to Programs & Schools in the left navigation panel.
  • Click Advanced filters to open the full filter panel.
  • Go to the Program feature section and check the box beside High Job Demand.
  • Results will refresh automatically to show only programs tagged with high labour market demand.

Tip! Combine High Job Demand with other filters for stronger results:

  • High Job Demand + PGWP: Finds Canadian programs where graduates both enter a high-demand field and have a clear pathway to stay and work after their studies. Try this filter combination.
  • High Job Demand + Co-op programs: There is no dedicated co-op filter, but you can scan High Job Demand results for programs with (Co-op) or (Internship) in their title — these will typically include a work placement. Try this filter combination.
