For many students, the pre-CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance to Study) credibility interview is a major bottleneck. It can delay the visa process and cause significant anxiety.

To help streamline this, ApplyBoard allows you to filter for UK universities that may waive this specific interview requirement for eligible students.

What Does the "No UK Interview" Tag Mean?

When you see the No UK Interview tag on a program, it indicates that:

"Depending on nationality, students will not need to attend a Credibility Interview to receive their Confirmation of Acceptance to Study (CAS)."

This is a powerful tool for speeding up the time between an Unconditional Offer and the issuance of a CAS number.

Why Use the "No UK Interview" Filter?

By identifying these institutions, you can:

  • Reduce Student Anxiety: Remove a major psychological hurdle for shy or nervous applicants.

  • Speed Up the Offer: Admissions based primarily on academic documents are often processed faster than those requiring interview scheduling.

  • Focus on Academics: Match students to schools that prioritize grades and transcripts over interview performance.

How to Find These Programs

  1. Log in to the ApplyBoard platform and navigate to Programs & Schools.

  2. Open the 'Program tag' Filter: Located in the search sidebar.

  3. Select 'No UK Interview': Check the box for this specific tag.

The search results will automatically refresh to show only UK programs that do not mandate an admissions interview.

Pro Tip: Combine for Speed and Quality

You can refine your search further by combining the No UK Interview tag with other helpful filters found in the same menu:

  • Need an answer fast? Combine with Fast Acceptance or Instant Offer to find schools that are both interview-free and quick to issue offers.

  • Looking for prestige? Combine with the Top tag to reassure parents that easing the entry process doesn't mean compromising on university reputation.

Important Note: University vs. UKVI Interviews

Please remind your students that this filter refers to the university's admissions interview. While the university may waive their interview, UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) reserves the right to interview any student during the visa application process. Preparing your students for potential UKVI questions is still highly recommended.
