Once you have selected your program and built your application, one of the final steps to kickstarting our review process is the application fee. Paying this fee allows our team to verify your documents and officially submit your application to the institution.
Is your application free? If your application is free, once you complete any Before Payment Requirements, your application will automatically be added to your list of "Paid Applications". No payment information will be collected, and no fee will be charged.
Understanding Application Fees
Most schools require a fee to process your international application. ApplyBoard collects this on your behalf and handles the payment to the school directly.
Refunds: If your application is canceled before we submit it to the school, your fee is fully refunded.
Variable Costs: Fees are set by the institutions, not ApplyBoard. Some programs may have extra departmental fees—you can always see the full breakdown by clicking Show Details in your Application Cart.
ApplyBoard Fees: In some cases, a standard ApplyBoard fee may be added to your cart for specific applications.

How to Complete Your Payment
Ready to move forward? Follow these steps to navigate your dashboard and settle your fees.
Step 1: Access Your Dashboard
Open My Applications from the left-hand navigation menu. You will see a list of your "Unpaid Applications" at the top of the page.
Step 2: Select Your Programs
Click the checkbox next to the specific application(s) you are ready to pay for. You can pay for one at a time or several at once. Your application status will show as Payment Pending.
Step 3: Choose Your Payment Method
Click Pay for Applications. An invoice screen will appear with three primary ways to pay:
What If My Application is Free?
If your application is free, once you complete any Before Payment Requirements, your application will automatically be added to your list of "Paid Applications". No payment information will be collected, and no fee will be charged.
Payment Tips
Paying via Card (Recommended): This is the fastest way to get your application into the "Processing" queue. Simply enter your details and follow the on-screen prompts.
Paying via Bank Transfer: Under the Bank Transfer option, select Details/Upload. You will see ApplyBoard’s bank info. Important: After making the transfer, you must select Upload Proof of Payment. This helps our finance team track your transaction and avoid delays.
Using ApplyCredits: If you have a credit balance on your account, simply toggle Apply credit to this invoice. If the credits cover the full amount, click Pay with Account Credit to finish.
What Happens Next?
Once you see the confirmation pop-up stating "Your application payment has been submitted," click OK.
Your application status will change from Payment Pending to Processing. This is the signal to our team to begin our expert review of your file once all required documents have been submitted. ApplyBoard will notify you once your application has been submitted to your chosen school!
