Students: How to Create Your Application on ApplyBoard

Once you have completed your program discovery and found your best program match, you're ready to take the next big step—submitting your first application! Follow these simple steps to begin your journey and move closer to your study abroad goals.

Step 1: Find and Start Your Application

There are two main ways to start your application from your ApplyBoard account:

• From Program Search: Browse the Search page. When you find a program you like, click "View Details" to see the full requirements, then select "Apply Now."

• From Your Dashboard: Under the "Your Top Programs" section, select "Learn More" on any recommended program, then select "Apply Now."

Step 2: The Application Form

Choose Your Intake

The New Application form will appear. Select your desired start date from the Academic Intake dropdown and click “Next.”

Review Prerequisites

Review the listed Prerequisites carefully. These are mandatory requirements (like specific grades or test scores).

• Warning: If you do not meet these, the application is at high risk of being cancelled. Click “Next” to continue.

Select Backup Programs

To maximize your chances, you can select up to 10 backup programs for each application. If your first choice becomes unavailable, these backups keep your journey on track. Simply click + Backup Program to generate a list of recommended programs at the same institution. If there are any programs you would like to add to your application, click + Add.

Step 3: What to Expect & Finalizing

The “What to Expect” step shows you exactly which documents and information you must provide once the application is created.

• If you are unable to meet these requirements, click "X" to return to your search.

• If you can provide the listed requirements, click “Create Application” to finalize the setup.

Next Steps

Creating the application is a huge milestone, but remember that creation is not the same as submission. To ensure your application is sent to the school as quickly as possible, keep these final next steps in mind:

• Complete Your Profile: Ensure every section of your Student Profile is filled out with 100% accuracy. This includes your full education history, English test scores, and visa information.
• Pay Your Application Fee(s): Once your profile is ready, visit the "Unpaid Applications" section of your dashboard to pay any application fees.
• Upload Documents & Complete Pending Requirements: After payment, your application will move to the "Paid Applications" section. Now, visit the "Requirements" tab to see your personalized document checklist.
